Cooking Instructions

• Wash 1 lb of chicken or mixed vegetables thoroughly.

• Mix the entire 75 g pack of masala with 300 ml of hot water to prepare a smooth paste.

• Heat 100–125 ml of cooking oil in a pan. Add the prepared masala paste and cook until the oil separates and the spices release their aroma.

• Add the chicken or vegetables and mix well until evenly coated with the masala.

• Pour in 600–700 ml of water, adjusting according to your preferred consistency, and cook until the ingredients become tender.

• Add 300 ml of coconut paste or coconut milk and simmer for a few more minutes until the saalna reaches your desired consistency.

• Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and curry leaves before serving.

Serving Suggestion: Serve hot with parotta, chapati, dosa, idiyappam, or steamed rice.
