Ingredients

Green chilli, small onion, tomato, big onion, tamarind, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, black peppercorns, dry red chilli, fenugreek seeds, toor dal, asafoetida, and cinnamon.

Cooking Instructions

• Wash 3.5 lbs (approximately 1.6 kg) of mixed vegetables such as carrot, beans, eggplant, drumstick, or radish.
• Pressure cook 625 g of dal with 3 litres of water.
• Mix the RTC masala with 700 ml of hot water to prepare a smooth paste.
• Heat 300 ml of cooking oil in a pan and add the masala paste.
• Cook until the oil separates from the masala, releasing its rich aroma.
• Add the vegetables and sauté until they are well coated with the masala.
• Add a little water and cook the vegetables until tender.
• Add the cooked dal and simmer for a few minutes.
• Adjust water quantity to achieve the desired consistency.
• Garnish with ghee, mustard seeds, red chilli, curry leaves, or coriander leaves before serving.

Serving Quantity: Makes approximately 10 litres of delicious sambar
